So, hot on the WIX New Forum debacle (no consultation, no warning, enforced move from one app to another, migration tools that didn't work on anything more than a few months worth of content, not fit for purpose, the list goes on and on), we return to Microcrap, sorry I mean Microsoft, who after all these decades should know better.

Yet they still force so called updates on us (which more and more are nothing more than attempts to get us to sign up to OneDrive or Office 365 etc) and have the gall to present the "restart now or schedule for later" option like it's a real choice. It isn't. Because Windows hijacks all your resources, making everything else run so slowly you have no option but to restart!!!

The issue is, NONE of the big IT corporations care a jot about our ease of use, our data protection, our time, our work, not a jot. So long as they are stealing our data and making money as cheaply as they can, then we can all go to hell.

Governments need to stop pandering to them and hit them where it hurts. Fines for every outage, legislation that allows users to issue invoices for lost work and/or time and increased stress. It's got to stop!
